Our Low Cost Direct Cremation starting at $1,594.99, all-inclusive*
No one wants surprises, especially after a death has occurred. Any funeral home will quote you a price for a direct cremation, but they don't always quote everything. Lafferty & Smith Colonial Chapel will, with good faith, quote you all expected applicable fees for complete, transparent pricing.
OUR DIRECT CREMATION INCLUDES:
- Basic services of funeral director and staff
- Local area transfer of deceased to funeral home (one staff member transporting from a hospital or nursing facility)
- Refrigeration
- Cremation process (up to 300 pounds) - we own and operate our company crematory
- Minimum alternative cardboard cremation container (generally designed for individuals up to approximately 250 pounds)
- Durable plastic cremated remains receptacle (you can choose a different urn, with no pressure)
OUR COMPLETE, TRANSPARENT PRICING: $1,594.99
- $1,535.00 cremation fees (as previously described)
- $24.00 death certificate (each, from $24.00)
- $12.00 disposition permit (required by County Health Dept.)
- $11.50 CA state cremation regulatory fee (required by CA Dept. of Consumer Affairs)
- $12.49 sales taxes (from description of specific merchandise listed above)
*ADDITIONAL FEES WHICH MAY APPLY:
- 2nd attendant for residence, board and care, assisted living facility, or for weight requirements, $210.00
- Any transport out of the Santa Rosa area calculated on a time and mileage basis
- Cremation process over 300 pounds, $175.00
- Airtray container for decedents exceeding the dimensions/weight for a minimum alternative cardboard cremation container, $275.00+tax
- Coroner or medical examiner fees (Sonoma County Coroner has a transport fee of $388.00)
