Tyler Matthew Rypka, affectionately known as T-Bone, embarked on his final adventure on August 25, 2023 at the age of 29 in Forestville, Ca. Born in Santa Rosa, CA on August 4, 1994, Tyler was a source of endless joy. A caring and loving family man, he had a heart as big as the great outdoors and was always there to lend a helping hand. He wove a tapestry of laughter and joy that shall forever brighten our memories.
Tyler was a Pump and Well Technician, a hardworking man that dove into his work with passion and dedication. He had a mathematical problem-solving mind who dreamed of becoming an electrical engineer.
In his spare time, Tyler could be found fishing from land or his kayak, exploring the beauty of nature, hiking through trails. He grew up tubing and wakeboarding at the family cabin on Lake Pillsbury, and was an all-star little league player as well as a tournament winning wrestler. He truly knew how to make a splash and treasured his time in the great outdoors.
Tyler loved to take his son, Grayson, hiking and fishing. He taught him his first words, his first steps, and how to get muddy. Tyler taught his son the joys of life, and to love nature, animals and being outdoors. One of Grayson’s many favorites was when Tyler would get in the crib and read him books. He was a strong, protective father who cared deeply for his son.
Tyler embraced everything about himself, good and bad. With that, Tyler could make anybody laugh and smile. He would go out of his way to make a cashier smile just so they had one good customer that day. Tyler was a master of mischief and was infamous for his jokes and pranks. From hiding cricket sounds to plastic wrapping someone’s car, to starting Nerf Gun and water balloon fights with his friends.
Tyler’s playful spirit will forever echo in the hearts of his surviving family members: his son, Grayson; parents, Debra and Matt; his brother Ryan; and the love of his life, Autumn Alvarez. He also leaves behind a troupe of jolly relatives, including: Uncle and Aunt, Stan and Cres Whiteside; Uncle, Earl Whiteside; Aunt, Zorha Womac; and Uncle, Tim Rypka. As he embarks on his grand finale, Tyler joins his departed grandparents, Francis & H.P. Whiteside and Sheila & Theodore Rypka; Aunt, Atana Whiteside, and Uncle, Paul Whiteside, in a cosmic comedy club, where laughter reigns supreme.
A celebration of Tyler’s life is planned for November 11, 2023, from 1-4 p.m. at Sebastopol Holy Ghost, 7960 Mill Station Rd.
