Tammerina Shimel Obituary

Tammerina Michelle Shimel, age 56, of Santa Rosa, California, passed away on December 10th, 2023. She was born on June 13th, 1967, in Oakland, California.

Tammerina is survived by her children Mathew Shimel, Dale Shimel, and Sara Loukides. She is also survived by her ex-husband David Shimel, and her siblings Robert Adams and Renee Rushworth. Tammerina was predeceased by her beloved mother Patricia Walling and her grandmother Lorna McFarland.

Tammerina dedicated her career to the hospitality industry, working in restaurants and bars as a server and bartender. Her warm and welcoming spirit made her a favorite among patrons. She lived life to the fullest, finding joy in adventure, music, and the beauty of nature. She will be remembered for her infectious energy and zest for life. There was never a dull moment with Tammerina - she was always dancing, always having fun, and had a heart that overflowed with love.

 

A small memorial service will be held with close family members to celebrate Tammerina's life. In accordance with her wishes, her ashes will be spread near Angel Island, reuniting her with her mother and grandmother.

Tammerina's spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. May she rest in eternal peace.
