The Dengler family unexpectedly lost the life of Rex John Dengler, August 6, 1962- December 1, 2024. Rex was a caring, loyal, and amazing husband to his now widow Claire. They met in 1987 through a Press Democrat dating ad, Rex had been in Hawaii with his family and when he returned home he fell asleep. But he woke up in the middle of the night because he “had a dream he was supposed to read the paper”. There he found an ad by Claire, they had many common grounds of attraction including the Catholic faith. They went on their first date at Sweet River, a now closed Coddingtown restaurant. Since then they have been inseparable. Rex is preceded in death by his parents Hugh and Patricia. Survived by his children Lisa, Mark (Ashley) and Christine (Brandon). Grandchildren Lexi, Isaac, Hayden, and the twins who are not yet born. Brothers Eric, Guy (Judy), Roger (Arte), Alan (Mary) and sister Iris (Mike). At this time there will be no funeral services but a memorial should be expected at a later date with close family. We ask that family, friends, and beyond think of us in this difficult time. Especially Claire who was Rex’s soul mate. God Bless.
