Mitchell J. Tomlinson
November 29, 1952 – July 9, 2025
Mitchell J. Tomlinson, a beloved father, brother, artist, friend and entrepreneur, passed away on July 9, 2025, at the age of 72. He lived a rich and vibrant life, leaving a lasting impact across Mendocino County and beyond.
Born on November 29, 1952, Mitch’s creativity and adventurous spirit guided him through a life full of music, color, and innovation. Mitch was known for his entrepreneurial drive and artistic flair. He owned and operated Mitchell’s Doughnuts and Bagels Zen Blues in Ukiah.
Mitch was not only an entrepreneur, but also a gifted artist and entertainer. His vivid, abstract paintings brought joy and inspiration to is friends and family, while his musical talents spanning guitar, drums, harmonica, and more made him a natural performer.
He is survived by his children, Trevor Tomlinson and Elyse Seng; his brother, Tim Tomlinson; and a wide circle of friends.
Mitch lived his life to the fullest, the way he chose to live it. He was a unique individual and will be missed by many.
