Martha Marie Schneider

Martha Marie Baskett-Schneider, 85, of Santa Rosa, CA, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2024. Born on July 16, 1939, in Amarillo, TX to Theda and Henry (Hank) Schneider, Martha was the second child of four daughters.

Martha was first and foremost a housewife and mom. She had a special way with children and animals. As a mom, Martha had endless energy, made the best chicken soup, taught her children to pray, and was always ready for a giggle. She was also a lover of the arts as well as an artist. Martha was commissioned for several art projects in private collections as well as the Petaluma Ballet in which she painted all the Nutcracker stage scenery. She was an avid reader and had a collection of poems that she held dear to her heart and loved to share them. She enjoyed uplifting conversations with anyone and was a light to all that met her. Her presence is greatly missed.

Martha is survived by her children; Zachary, Brandie, Marc, Amphianda, her grandchild; Sarah, her sister and brother-in-law; Nancy and Dennis, her sister-in-law; Jolene as well as many nieces and nephews and extended family members.

In accordance with Martha's wishes, a private memorial service will be held by the family.
