Mark R. Gonnella - Passed away at home in Occidental surrounded by his loving family on March 10, 2007. Devoted and loving husband of Tracy T. Gonnella of Occidental. Loving father of Francesca R. Gonnella and Theodore M. Gonnella, loving step-father of Shane Christiansen and Morgan Christiansen all of Occidental. Loving grandfather of Yasmine Rodriguez of Occidental. Loving son of Lucille M. Gonnella of Occidental and the late Daniel A. "Mahoney""" Gonnella. Loving son-in-law of Vera Butisbauch of Occidental. Loving brother of Michael Gonnella and his wife Marie of Layton, UT, Mary Theresa Gonnella, Daniel Gonnella and his wife Julane and Frank Gonnella and his wife Barbara all of Occidental. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. "" Mark was born, reared and educated in Occidental. He is a member of the Gonnella family, a long time Sonoma County restaurant family. Mark along with his family owns and operates the Union Hotel and Restaurants located in Occidental and two more restaurants located in Santa Rosa. Mark has been associated with the family business for the past 40 years. He passed away at his residence after being in ill health for the past month.
