Manuel Paulo Resende - Passed away on March 2, 2007 in Novato. Beloved husband of Teresa Resende of Novato. Cherished father of Maryann Resendes (David Bryla) of Oregon and Nancylee Chinn (Jonathan) of Santa Rosa. Adored grandfather of Bryce Chinn of Santa Rosa. Loving brother of Zulmira Cabral and Maria da Graca both of the Azores. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and godchildren.
Age: 77 years.
A Member of: IDESI of Novato, Our Lady of Loretto, Santo Cristo of Petaluma, Petaluma Holy Ghost, and the Lusitania Band Society.
Manuel was born in Sao Paolo, Brazil, and reared in San Miguel, Azores. Upon moving to the US, he worked as a dairyman and at L.P. McNear Brick Company. He enjoyed gardening, but above all else, he was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
Friends and family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass, Thursday, March 8, 2007 at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Loretto Church, 1806 Novato Blvd., Novato, CA. A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 7, 2007 from 11:00 AM to 5:30 PM at the PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma, CA (707) 763-4131. The Vigil Service will be held on Wednesday at 7:00 PM at Our Lady of Loretto Church in Novato. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice by the Bay, 17 E. Sir Francis Drake Blvd., Ste. 100, Larkspur, CA 94939. Interment: Valley Memorial Park, Novato, CA.
