Died: 10-14-2024 Redway, CA

It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of Lee Nyce on October 14, 2024 at the age of 56. Lee was born on May 26TH, 1968 in Bethlehem, PA to Beryl and Kerry Nyce. Lee grew up in Montana and as a young adult she moved to Southern Humboldt to work at Heartwood in Garberville, CA. Lee fell in love with the area, people and culture of Humboldt and decided to stay and make SoHum her home.

Lee has always loved animals. She was always saving, neutering, spaying and adopting fur babies. While in Humboldt, Lee had her own business Lucky Dog Grooming, she loved being a Dog Groomer. The last four months of Lee’s life she volunteered at the Healy Center helping with Meals-On-Wheels program washing dishes and serving lunches. She really enjoyed this work which was the happiest time in Lee’s life.

She is survived by her mother, Beryl “Pearl” Nyce and her brother Kevin Nyce, various Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and friends. Her departure leaves an unfillable void in the memories and everlasting love they shared.

A celebration of Lee’s life will be held at a future date in Redway, CA.
