Juliet Caruso Obituary

Juliet Lyon Caruso December 29, 1955 — December 15, 2025

Juliet Lyon Caruso, age 69, was born in Laurel, Delaware, on December 29, 1955. Julie passed peacefully at her home in Santa Rosa, California on December 15, 2025.

Julie attended and graduated from Laurel High School. She continued her education at West Liberty State College, where she received her Bachelor of Science Department of Health Sciences, in Dental Hygiene in May 1977. Following graduation, she moved across the country to San Francisco, California. During this time, she welcomed her children Zac Gold who was born in San Rafael, CA, and Jordan Goldstein (Bautista) who was born after the family relocated to Santa Rosa.

In 2002, Julie relocated to Kansas City to further her education at the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Dentistry, Division of Dental Hygiene, where she worked toward a Master of Science in Dental Hygiene Education. At UMKC, she also served as a clinical instructor, teaching dental hygiene.

After returning to Santa Rosa in 2004, Julie continued her teaching career at Santa Rosa Junior College, Division of Dental Hygiene and returned to private practice in various dental offices until she retired in 2019. After retiring from private practice, Julie worked in the Sonoma County COVID tracking program.

On November 23, 2005, Julie married John Caruso. Together, they raised Jordan, Zac, as well as John’s children, Jamie Caruso (Bracewell) and Jessica Caruso (Braniff). Julie was a devoted Nonni to Myles, Ocean, Austin, Hunter, and her newest addition of one-year-old, Mateo. Her grandchildren were the highlights of her life, bringing a sparkle to her eyes, and her legacy lives on in their smiles.

Julie and John shared a love of travel, exploring California, --especially the mountains, --and cruising to destinations such as the Mediterranean Sea and Alaska. Julie’s favorite place, however, was her garden, where she found peace surrounded by flowers, butterflies, and her favorite visitors, the migrating hummingbirds.

A celebration of Julie’s life will be held at 10:00 AM at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Santa Rosa, CA, followed by a light meal in the hall on Saturday, January 10, 2026.

The family would like to thank all the friends and family who have supported us through this time of sorrow.
