Janet Adams Larkin

We are saddened to share that our wonderful, beautiful sister, Janet Larkin passed away on September 24, 2024.  She was a long time resident of Bell Manor, and often expressed how much she enjoyed living here.

Janet was born in Wellsley Massachusetts in 1944.  She grew up in Vista California on the family's wonderful property, attending the schools there.  Janet moved with her family back to Massachusetts, where she graduated from Georgetown MA High School as the Salutatorian of her class.  She then attended the University of New Hampshire, and studied dietetics.

Janet was also a gifted pianist, who shared her music with many family and friends.  She played for several weddings and other special events.

Janet moved to Sonoma County in the later 1970's.  Along the way, she studied at Santa Rosa Junior College, and received a Child Care Certificate.  She helped to mentor many young children.

Janet was a kind, caring and wise woman.  She overcame many challenges in her life, which included 31 years of sobriety.  She was very courageous in facing the physical challenges of her later years, always smiling and gracious.  We will miss her always.
