Francis Powell Obituary
Francis "Buck" Powell - A native Petaluman, passed away peacefully at a local hospital on April 3, 2007. Age 83 years. He is survived by his wife, Frances; Daughter, Collette; Sons, Frank (Vivian) and Dave (Linda); Grandfather of Erik, Maryann, Brian, Brad, Kevin; Great grandfather of of Courvoisian and Chorus all of Petaluma; and a Brother, William of Santa Rosa. He was preceded in death by sisters,Ann and Frances and brothers, Tony, Harold, Robert and Ernest. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
He served in the U.S. Air Force in England during WWII and also the U.S. Army 11th Armored Division in Central Europe, receiving a Bronze Service Star. Member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States, Petaluma Post # 1929. He was a mechanic and member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers for over 40 years.
No services will be held in honor of his request. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Petaluma, 416 Payran St., Petaluma, CA 94952. PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY.
