Dewey A. Thomas - Died in Petaluma, CA., May 6, 2007, beloved husband for 32 years of Janet M. Thomas of Petaluma. Brother in law of Mary Pine of Petaluma. Loving father of Laurie Fitch and her husband, Johnny of Livermore, Connie Doherty and her husband, Bob of Windsor, Debra Thomas of Santa Rosa, and Charles Rinehart and his wife, Tracie of Santa Rosa. Adored grandfather of Nicholas, Kyle and Kevin Doherty, Eugene and Matthew Rinehart. Beloved brother of Don Thomas and his wife, Dora of Brentwood, Norma Moser and her husband, Ben of Wagner, OK. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and his dog, Scamp.
Mr. Thomas, a native of Martinez, CA., was 68 years of age. He was proud of his two careers in his life, both of which he loved and excelled in , 13 years with the U.S. Marine Corps and 22 years as a Deputy Sheriff with the Sonoma County Sheriffâ??s Department.
Private services with Full Military Honors, including U.S. Marine Corps Honor Guard. for the family will be held at Sacramento Valley VA National Cemetery, Dixon, CA. The family prefers that memorials be made to Petaluma Valley Hospital. Services under the direction of PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY.
