Amelia J. Deevy

Amelia J. Deevy - Passed away peacefully at home on February 8, 2007 at the age of 92. She was the beloved wife of the late Daniel J. Deevy, Sr. Loving mother of Sue Deevy and Dan Deevy Jr. and their friends, all of whom loved her dearly. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Bruno LaFranchi and Ruby LaFranchi. Also survived by her sister-in-law Eleanor LaFranchi and several nieces and nephews.
Amelia was born in San Rafael, CA., the daughter of the late Emilio and Palmira LaFranchi from Coglio, Switzerland and West Marin and Sonoma Counties. She was an avid golfer at the Petaluma Golf & Country Club and was a volunteer with the Petaluma Valley Hospital Auxiliary. Amelia loved music of all kinds and she loved dancing with her husband. She also enjoyed gardening and being in her yard. At the request of Amelia, there will be no services. Private inurnment will be at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Petaluma, CA. The family prefers memorials be made to Hospice of Petaluma, 416 Payran St., Petaluma, CA 94952. PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY.
