Born November 21, 1921 in Holywood, County Down, Northern Ireland

A faithful Catholic, a true member of the greatest generation and blessed with an Irish wit, Nancy was a devoted, loving wife of 54 years to Herschel A. McGuire, a WWII B-17 pilot, hero, and successful businessman who preceded her in death February 3, 2000. Nancy was and loving and caring mother who was blessed with four fortunate children.

The first born to John and Josephine Weir of Bangor, County Down, Northern Ireland, Nancy was a consistent example of reliability to her four younger siblings, through the Great Depression and WWII. A child ballerina and later in life, an amazing seamstress, fruitful gardener, avid baseball fan and well respected Irish Wheaton Terrier dog breeder. Nancy peacefully succumbed to old age in her home, and passed into God’s caring hands, to reunite with her dear husband, on June 11, 2010, after a long and happy life.

Loving Mother to daughters Sheila A. McGuire Malley, and husband Glenn of Danville California, Patricia K. McGuire Augsburger, of Sacramento California, Maureen K. McGuire Lewis, and husband Carl of Marysville, California and son Kevin M. McGuire, and wife Debra of Santa Rosa, California. Guiding and caring Grandparent to Patrick Feehan, Laura Cody, Jennifer Wade, Genevieve Hoover, Allyson Beeler and Evan Augsburger, proud Great Grandmother to Brittany, Brooke, Natalie, and Adam Wade, Audrey, Darla, and Lily Cody, Charlotte Feehan, Blake and Bella Beeler.

Dear, caring sister to John Weir Jr, and wife Janiece of Pahrump, Nevada, Margaret Weir Palmer, and husband Bruce, Scappoose, Oregon, Elizabeth Weir Walsh, Upland, California, Preceded in death by Brendan Weir of Bangor, Co. Down, Northern Ireland. Our family wishes to express our deepest, heartfelt gratitude to Megan Hassler and Erlinda Almazora, who lovingly cared for Nancy in her final years.
